24 week update

I cant believe that there is only about 15 weeks left until my due date. Time is going by so fast, yet so slow :) Tim and I are getting very anxious to meet the little girl. She has been moving a ton and so far the thing that gets her moving most is..American Idol and when I put my headphones on my belly she goes crazy I think we have a dancer/singer on our hands. Here is what WebMD says is going on in the 24th week of pregnancy.
You're 24 Weeks Pregnant. Your baby measures around 8.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 1.2 pounds. He is starting to produce white blood cells, an important component of blood that is responsible for combating disease and infection, and may respond to your touch or sounds. Your uterus is about 1.5 to 2 inches above your navel. Expect to gain about a pound per week this month. Tests for detecting gestational diabetes are given between now and 28 weeks.
Also Tim went turkey hunting so here are some pic's of his kills :) yum, fresh turkey meat!

21 weeks and counting down

Its a girl!!! yay. We are super excited to be having a girl...I thought it would be a boy for sure since Tim was so set on having a boy first. But he is so happy and loves the idea of being able to buy a new gun to scare off the boys with :) The doctor said everything looks healthy and she is developing great, we saw a front view of the face and it looks like she has some chubby cheeks already! Here are some pictures for everyone, Tim said that he wanted to measure my stomach, so the measurment taken is from my belly button all the way around...then I caught him measuring his stomach! I thought it was pretty cute.

Fishin' Trip

So saturday we took the boat out with our good friends Chris & Jen and we went fishing. We had such a great time, it was a little windy but it was also about 65 degrees so no one was complaining. We ended up catching 14 crappie which was great, now we get to have a fish fry :) 1 more week till the big day!

The weather has been so nice here lately, but then it snowed...boo! Im ready for spring. Tim has started to smoke all of the fish we caught last year and he is very excited to start taking the boat out...not until May though.

almost 17 wks!!!

Wednesday will be the start of our 17th week, I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Im feeling great, extra hungry & sleepy, although it has been fun eating. The other night Tim told me he liked me pregnant because I cook more!! Maybe he can gain a few extra ponds with me :) Tim and I are getting so excited to find out what we are having, we have bets going on with each other, it's pretty fun teasing him that I think it's a girl, he doesn't laugh usually. My next Dr appt. is on the 10th and that's when we will make the ultrasound appt. So I'll keep you all updated!
Here is what is going on with our baby now.....I got this off the webMD website....
...You're 17 Weeks Pregnant. Your baby measures about 4.4 to 4.8 inches from crown to rump and has doubled its weight in the last two weeks to about 3.5 ounces. Fat begins to form aiding heat production and metabolism, the lungs are beginning to exhale amniotic fluid, and the circulatory and urinary systems are working. Hair continues to grow on baby's head and his eyebrows and eyelashes are filling in. You're showing more, with an obvious swelling in your lower abdomen. A five- to 10-pound weight gain is typical by now. You also may be noticing an increase in appetite

14wk appt

Yesterday I had my second Dr. Appt, it went great. I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat again and it has definitely become my most favorite sound!! Tim wasn't able to go he had to work (such a hard worker) I think after I told him I was able to hear the heartbeat he made up his mind to go to the rest :)
We are doing great, the weather has been gorgeous!! Our new thing is ice fishing. Last weekend we caught 4. Tim likes to set out about 6 poles, its quite entertaining when they all start getting bites at once.
Thats all for now :)
